Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Risk Manager to lead the risk management function on a major Offshore Wind capital project. You will own the risk approach, develop mitigation strategies and drive decisions with Project Services and leadership teams.

Role involves quantitative risk analysis (QCRA/QSRA), schedule risk analysis, and clear communication of risk to senior management to safeguard the project business case and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience leading the risk management function on a major project.
• Ability to translate complex risk data into clear actions for senior management.
• Strong quantitative risk analysis capability (QCRA/QSRA).
• Stakeholder engagement and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement consistent risk management standards, tools and processes.
• Lead QCRA/QSRA to determine contingency requirements and project risk exposure.
• Lead Schedule Risk Analysis to validate delivery timelines and critical paths.
• Identify and implement risk mitigation strategies with project teams and leadership.
• Summarise risk position for executive leadership and external stakeholders.
