Job summary

Pliant is seeking a Credit Risk Manager to evaluate US and SME/corporate clients, improving standards, documentation, and the tech stack. You will collaborate with the CRO and cross-functional teams to strengthen risk controls and decisioning.

We value rigorous analysis, process design, and the ability to implement scalable, compliant solutions. Fluent English and cross-border experience are essential for success in our growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of operational experience in credit risk assessment for US corporate or SME customers from a bank or fintech.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and industry-specific financial analysis; CFA or similar qualifications are a plus.
• Analytical thinking, detail orientation and ability to quickly understand new problems and systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform due diligence to identify customers and assess business models and financial profiles.
• Conduct underwriting by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and bank statements; document risks and mitigants.
• Make credit decisions within delegated authority to maintain a performing loan book.
• Design scalable, compliant processes and explore AI-enabled improvements to workflows.
• Facilitate clear communication across Sales, Legal, Operations, Product and Risk teams.
