Our Water contractor client is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to join their Brighton-based Southern Water joint venture framework on a permanent basis.

They operate on a range of Water and Wastewater projects, delivering Southern Water's capital delivery programme moving into AMP8.

Key to success at both the framework and project level is effective risk management. This is an ideal time to review, refresh, upgrade, and implement changes to the way their joint venture manages risk. The Senior Risk Manager will design, implement, and maintain a risk management framework that is appropriate for an organization of the joint venture's size and turnover.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an enterprise risk management strategy across the joint venture.
• Ensure risk management processes and policies are fit for purpose.
• Support JV staff at all levels to implement and comply with risk management processes and policies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including management from the client JV, its parent companies, Southern Water, and project management teams.
• Monitor compliance with risk management processes and policies.
• Develop and implement risk reporting, including key risk indicators (KRIs) at project and framework levels.

Skills/experience/qualifications

• Knowledge of risk management procedures, practices, and techniques.
• Understanding of planning, budgeting, change control, earned value, and other project controls techniques.
• Demonstrable ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills, including delivering high-quality reports and analysis results.
• Passion for delivering innovative and excellent client service.
• Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Salary in line with experience and risk management background.
