Job summary

Sopra Steria Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Risk Management Lead to strengthen the governance and risk frameworks across the Financial Services division. You will lead day-to-day risk management activities, embed the RMF, and collaborate with internal audit, compliance, legal and operational teams to drive strong customer outcomes.

This hybrid role requires weekly onsite presence in Newcastle upon Tyne and a passion for data-driven insights, KPI tracking and measurable improvements

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Risk Management Framework principles within a Financial Services organisation.
• Strong understanding of Operational Risk principles within a Financial Services organisation.
• Highly analytical with the ability to process large data from multiple sources and present insights for decision making.
• Customer experience focus with ability to drive step-change in performance.
• Experience managing senior stakeholders in client and multi-supplier environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and coordinate implementation of the Risk Management strategy (policy, standards, framework).
• Develop and own the account and risk governance framework within operations.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and act as trusted partner.
• Implement and test controls; ensure remediation and new controls are effective.
• Promote a customer-centric, can-do attitude across the business.
• Lead, coach and motivate the Debt Management team to deliver excellent customer experience and KPI attainment.
• Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, legal and operations to strengthen governance and remediation.
• Ensure regulatory spirit is upheld and fair customer outcomes are achieved.
