The role covers advisory on regulatory, compliance and contractual risk, policy drafting, vendor contract review, data protection duties and risk project support, with opportunities to influence firmwide initiatives.

Formación

• 3+ years’ PQE.
• Experience gained within a law firm’s Risk, Compliance, General Counsel or Professional Standards function, or relevant private practice experience.
• Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks affecting law firms, including SRA regulations and data protection.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to balance commercial objectives with effective risk management.
• Strong organisational skills and the confidence to manage competing priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Advising on a broad range of legal, regulatory and professional conduct issues.
• Drafting, reviewing and updating risk management policies, procedures and guidance.
• Managing and responding to day-to-day risk and compliance queries from across the business.
• Reviewing and negotiating commercial and supplier agreements, including technology vendor contracts.
• Supporting data protection compliance matters, including subject access requests and data breaches.
• Reviewing client terms, outside counsel guidelines and amendments to standard terms of business.
• Advising fee earners and business services teams on risk-related matters.
• Delivering risk and compliance training across the firm.
• Supporting firmwide and cross-functional risk projects.
• Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and providing practical guidance to stakeholders.
• Assisting with complex conflicts and sanctions-related matters where required.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Risk Lawyer to join the well-established Legal & Regulatory Risk function of a leading international law firm.

This role offers exposure to a broad range of legal, regulatory, compliance and commercial risk matters, providing the opportunity to work closely with partners, senior stakeholders and business services teams across a global business. It is an ideal opportunity for a lawyer looking to move into a strategic in‑house risk role or further develop an existing risk and compliance career within a sophisticated law firm environment.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of Legal & Regulatory Risk, responsibilities will include:

• Advising on a broad range of legal, regulatory and professional conduct issues.

About You

We are keen to speak with qualified solicitors who have:

• 3+ years’ PQE.
• Experience gained within a law firm’s Risk, Compliance, General Counsel or Professional Standards function, or relevant private practice experience.

• Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks affecting law firms, including SRA regulations and data protection.
