About the Department

Client Assurance is dedicated to delivering scalable, efficient service with a strong emphasis on protecting client assets and managing risks through a robust CASS and risk management framework.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Client Assurance Technical, this role involves supervising and developing risk and intelligence activities within the adviser platform business, ensuring effective risk controls and oversight, especially concerning CASS compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and update the Client Assurance Risk & Control framework, emphasizing CASS controls.
  • Provide assurance on the firm’s risk and control measures to senior management.
  • Lead on risk and control framework audits and reviews.
  • Oversee Client Assurance Team Intelligence activities, reporting risk, breach, and CASS issues to senior forums and the board.
  • Manage technical training related to risk and CASS compliance, including content accuracy and delivery.
  • Provide guidance on risk and intelligence matters across the department.
  • Drive proactive risk oversight and intelligence arrangements within the adviser business.
  • Apply sound commercial judgment to risk management processes.
  • Lead departmental initiatives and represent the department within the adviser business.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in financial services, with knowledge of FCA CASS rules and broader compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and oversight principles.
  • Experience engaging with staff at all levels and working under pressure to meet deadlines.
