You will support the Risk Manager in overseeing and managing risks within a specialized area, using and promoting our risk framework to help achieve Diligenta’s objectives. You will apply effective risk management, anticipating and assessing potential risks from client-specific operations and shared service activities.We are looking for an experienced risk professional to support the delivery of comprehensive, best-practice risk management processes that ensure Diligenta meets corporate governance, regulatory, and client requirements. You will work closely with project teams to ensure governance is effective, risks are reported in a timely manner, and the control environment is maintained or enhanced.Benefits

What you will be doing:

  • Support the implementation, maintenance and delivery of the Diligenta Risk Management Framework, to ensure that the accountability for risk management is clear, that there are processes and mechanisms in place for the effective identification, assessment, management, reporting and escalation of issues relating to all risks within the business and within the processes administered on behalf of clients.
  • Assisting in the processing data from risk events supporting the framework for any events that may occur.
  • Ensure risk appetite and tolerance are appropriately monitored (both Diligenta risk appetite and within the client arrangements)
  • To provide key input to the continued development of the Diligenta Risk Management Framework, assist the business in understanding and managing their risks and ensure that business management are trained in the use of relevant tools.
  • Sharing relevant risk insights via client-based reporting teams and vice versa.
  • To produce in line with SLAs and reporting timetables Risk MI and reporting that effectively and accurately summarises the current risk position and facilitates management decision making. This includes reviewing and challenging the adequacy of Risk Reports produced by other areas of the business prior to submission to the Risk Manager.
  • To liaise with clients as needed to discuss any matters relating to the risk management processes, issue resolution or reporting conducted on their behalf.
  • To conduct, as required, analysis and investigation on projects to facilitate the understanding and assessment of risk within Diligenta and the processes it administers on behalf of its clients.

You should apply if you have:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships, engage stakeholders, and influence at all levels
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex data effectively
  • Proven experience in best practice risk management, including risk assessment, mitigation and control frameworks
  • Advanced excel and reporting skills, with the ability to manipulate data, create insightful reports and present findings clearly
  • A strong results-driven mindset, demonstrating accountability, proactivity and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Experience in control design and implementation, ensuring robust frameworks that support business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, demonstrating self-sufficiency in managing workloads and problem solving
  • Experience with risk management software is advantageous with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems and tools
  • At least two years of experience in a risk-related role (line 1, line 2, or line 3 positions)
  • Relevant professional qualifications (FCA, AFPC, IRM, Insurance) or the desire to work towards a professional qualification
