About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Risk Analyst to support the development, implementation, and management of risk frameworks across both LMAL and LMIE. The successful candidate will assist in driving risk management activities, with a strong focus on supporting risk identification, assessment, and mitigation efforts across the organisation. This role requires collaboration with multiple business functions and senior stakeholders to maintain a robust risk environment compliant with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Profile:
- Support the development and delivery of the annual Risk Plans and Risk Strategy.
- Support the Risk Business Partner in maintaining regular engagement with risk owners at all organisational levels.
- Help provide a LE view of the risk profile, while also considering Lloyd's/EIOPA guidance and regulatory expectations.
Risk Appetite and KRI Enhancement:
- Assist in the development and implementation of the risk appetite framework, including key risk indicators (KRIs) and advising on risk mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with the business to monitor risk exposures and advise on mitigation strategies, particularly in relation to new projects and initiatives.
Risk Framework, Processes and Systems:
- Maintain the risk identification and assessment process, ensuring the Risk Management function and Management have a clear and continuous view of the risk exposure of the organisation.
- Collaborate with business leads to identify, implement, and monitor actions to manage risk effectively via Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSAs), Risk Register updates, and other assessments.
- Support the identification and assessment of emerging risks and thematic reviews, advising management on appropriate risk mitigation strategies where required.
- Support core risk management activities including internal model validation, stress and scenario testing, and reverse stress testing.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive management reporting, including use of risk management systems and data visualisation tools.
- Support technical risk assurance projects.
- Assist in embedding a strong risk culture within both LE.
Risk Reporting and Governance
- Prepare regular and ad hoc risk reports for internal (Management and Board Committees) and external stakeholders (e.g., Lloyd's, PRA, CAA).
- Support the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process, including producing annual ORSA reports for Board approval.
- Facilitate effective risk governance, including the operation of various risk committees as required.
Regulatory requirements:
- Adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements forms part of the individual's role, and the demonstration of behaviours as set out in the Conduct Risk Policy, as they relate to this role, is core to LSM's commitment to our Liberty Values, placing customers at the centre of our business and behaving with integrity.
- LSM expects the individual to understand the responsibilities relating to all regulatory and internal requirements, and to proactively demonstrate compliance with these requirements and behaviours, at all times.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Finance, Risk Management, or a related field; or professional certification (e.g., FRM, ACII, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in risk management, preferably within the Lloyd's insurance market and PRA/EIOPA regulatory environment.
- Good understanding of Solvency II and familiar with principles of regulatory capital (Internal Model and Standard Formula)
- Strong technical understanding and implementation of risk assessment methodologies, regulatory frameworks, and key industry standards. Experience of ORSA and stress testing processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex risk issues effectively to diverse audiences through risk papers and presentations.
- Proficiency in risk management tools and software, with a strong aptitude for data analysis and interpretation.
