Job summary

We are currently recruiting a Senior Structural Revit Technician to join our team at WSP in the UK & Ireland. You will work on Healthcare, Renewable Energy, Energy, Heritage, Commercial, Industrial and hospitality projects, leading the production of Revit models and CAD drawings across design stages.

Collaborating with engineers and other BIM technicians, you will develop 3D BIM models, coordinate with stakeholders, and use cloud-enabled BIM tools to deliver concepts, planning, tender, building

Qualifications

• Gained a HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in Building Structures as a Technician.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in the principles of ISO 19650, BIM templates, BEPs, and use of collaborative information management software.
• Experience in working with digital platforms, particularly BIM360 and its collaborative modules (Not essential, training will be provided).
• Gained strong, practical experience of using Revit in a similar building structures focused role.
• Proficiency at planning and organising workload.

Responsibilities

• Produce and supervise coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit; preparing engineering models & drawings from sketches and design information.
• Work closely with key external stakeholders, clients and colleagues from all parts of the WSP business to achieve multidisciplinary delivery outcomes.
• Use BIM technologies both in cloud and managed systems to prepare concise engineering drawings for key stages such as conception, planning, tender, building warrant and construction.
• Fulfil Project Technician role – manage the drafting aspects of projects of varying complexity and size, actively driving the collaboration.
