Job summary

Travel Counsellors is seeking a Retail Reconciliations Senior to lead and oversee financial control across global retail reconciliations. You will manage exceptions, drive root-cause analysis, and coach analysts while collaborating with Technology, Commercial and Compliance teams. Flexibility for hybrid working is offered.

The role requires strong Excel skills, supplier reconciliation experience and a keen eye for detail to mitigate risk and improve processes across the business.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
• Strong MS Office and Excel skills, incl. lookups and pivots.
• Experience in retail supplier reconciliations, AP or supplier operations.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and payment processes.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and detail orientation.
• Confident communicator able to coach and influence colleagues.
• Excellent organisation and prioritisation under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and oversee accurate retail supplier statement reconciliations across Travel Counsellors global entities.
• Review not-on-account activity for retail suppliers and ensure proper processing and deadlines.
• Act as senior point of contact for complex supplier queries and discrepancies; drive resolution.
• Manage supplier escalations and identify risk; escalate material issues when needed.
• Perform root cause analysis with Tech/Admin/Commercial to improve processes.
• Review hotel-only and ad-hoc payment requests for evidence and compliance.
• Oversee end-to-end reconciliation of Payment Service Providers.
• Provide coaching to Analysts and deputise for Team Leader when appropriate.
