Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Respiratory Physiotherapist (Band 6) on a fixed-term contract (6 months) for 22.5 hours per week at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, Cramlington. The role includes on-call and weekend work with a pro rata salary of £39,959–£48,117.

The post offers rotations across Respiratory Medicine, Cardiology/Care, A&E, Surgery and Critical Care, with opportunities in clinics and pulmonary rehabilitation.

Qualifications

BSC Honours degree in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration.
Evidence of continued professional development and CSP membership.
Post graduate rotations completed; neuro-muscular handling skills.
Full driving licence and willingness to travel for work.

Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose and treat an independent clinical caseload.
Work as part of the physiotherapy team under supervision of senior staff.
Provide high standard respiratory physiotherapy across inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
Engage in audits, research and service development projects.
