Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Respiratory Physiologist to support high-quality respiratory diagnostics across Peterborough City Hospital, Hinchingbrooke Hospital, and the new Peterborough Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC). The role encompasses performing and reporting a range of tests, with opportunities to progress to Band 6 via Annex 21 pathways.

Qualifications

• Registration in the Respiratory modality with the Registration Council For Clinical Physiologists (with appropriate BSc (hons) in Clinical Physiology or recognised level of qualification in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement)
• ARTP Part I and II certificates (Desirable)
• Sound interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
• Post qualification experience in performing and teaching respiratory diagnostics
• Proficient in performing a range of lung function investigations
• Basic IT skills
• Ability to perform, report and supervise basic pulmonary function tests
• Ability to perform, report and supervise advanced pulmonary function tests
• Evidence of continuing professional development across a range of clinical diagnostic techniques

Responsibilities

• Perform and report a range of respiratory diagnostic investigations
• Support safe, high-quality patient care across multiple Trust sites
• Work collaboratively with physiologists, clinicians and the wider MDT
• Participate in service development, audit and quality improvement activity
• Support learners and staff in training where appropriate
• Maintain continuing professional development and competency progression
