Job summary

Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Respiratory Nurse Specialist to join the Respiratory Specialist Nursing Team. The role covers a 7 day service with 37.5 hours per week and involves supporting respiratory patients across wards within the Trust.

The successful candidate will have acute respiratory nursing experience, excellent communication, and be able to contribute to teaching and education for junior staff.

Qualifications

• Current RN NMC registration.
• Diploma in Nursing.
• Degree in Nursing or working towards.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic care using enhanced clinical skills in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team to improve patient care.
• Contribute to the delivery and development of Respiratory service through evidence-based practice.
• Plan and deliver all aspects of patient care in relation to Respiratory Services as per the NMC Code.
• Continuously improve clinical care standards within the governance framework.
• Work as a senior member of a clinical team in Respiratory and Virtual ward services.
• Communicate effectively with patients, carers and the multi-disciplinary team.
