Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Respiratory Consultant to join the Department of Respiratory Medicine on a permanent basis at King's Mill and Newark Hospitals. The role covers in-patient, out-patient and on-call work, with regional clinics and dedicated sub-specialist services in Lung Cancer, ILD, Sleep/Ventilators, COPD, TB and Bronchiectasis.

A strong research portfolio is supported. The post offers NHS pay and pro rata salary with opportunities for teaching and educational supervision, as well

Qualifications

• Essential GMC registration (licence to practise) and specialist registration or within 6 months of CCT.
• Portfolio Pathway (CESR) applicants must be on specialist register at time of Intercollegiate Specialty Examination or equivalent.
• Desirable postgraduate thesis and completed fellowship programme.

Responsibilities

• In-patient, out-patient and on-call emergency work at King's Mill Hospital.
• Out-patient clinics at King’s Mill and Newark Hospitals plus sub-specialist clinics (Lung Cancer, ILD, Sleep/Ventilators, COPD, TB, Bronchiectasis).
• Research portfolio with recruitment into lung cancer, COPD and ILD studies.
