Job summary

National Health Service seeks a permanent Respiratory Medicine consultant to join our department. The post covers in-patient and out-patient care, plus on-call emergency work at King's Mill Hospital and outpatient duties at Newark Hospital across multiple sites.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care, run specialist clinics (Lung Cancer, ILD, COPD) and support sleep studies, bronchoscopy and pleural procedures, while participating in teaching and research within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
• Specialist registration with GMC or be within 6 months of CCT.
• CESR/Portfolio pathway applicants considered.
• Intercollegiate Specialty Examination or equivalent completed.
• Extensive experience in Respiratory Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient, outpatient and on-call duties.
• Deliver high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
• Run respiratory outpatient clinics across multiple sites.
• Support bronchoscopy, ultrasound and pleural procedures as applicable.
• Participate in teaching and research activities.
