Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Respiratory Medicine consultant to join the Department of Respiratory Medicine on a permanent basis. The post covers in-patient, out-patient and on-call work at King’s Mill Hospital and outpatient work at Newark Hospital.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration to practise.
• Specialist registration with GMC or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview.
• Success in Intercollegiate Specialty Examination or equivalent.
• Postgraduate thesis required or completed.

Responsibilities

• Support the provision of high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
• Lead respiratory outpatient clinics at King’s Mill and Newark Hospitals.
• Oversee bronchoscopy sessions, Endobronchial ultrasound and thoracoscopy services.
• Contribute to a portfolio of lung cancer and COPD research studies.
