Job summary

Evolve Staffing Ltd. is seeking a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine to join a prestigious NHS Trust in Bristol. The role focuses on managing a diverse caseload of acute and chronic respiratory diseases, leading specialist clinics (severe asthma, COPD, or lung cancer) and carrying out advanced diagnostic procedures.

You will work in a heavily supported, multidisciplinary environment, providing expert NIV guidance and spearheading departmental audits and research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration and entry on Specialist Register for Respiratory Medicine (or within 6 months of CCT/CESR).
• MRCP (UK) or equivalent qualification.
• Proven proficiency in respiratory diagnostics, bronchoscopy, and holistic management of complex pulmonary conditions.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatients and outpatients with complex respiratory conditions, including pleural disease and sleep disorders.
• Perform and supervise bronchoscopy, EBUS, and thoracic ultrasound.
• Advise on non-invasive ventilation and respiratory support; contribute to MDT lung cancer and clinical audits.

Job description

A premier medical recruitment opportunity is now available through Evolve Staffing Ltd. for a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine to join a highly esteemed NHS Trust in Bristol. The respiratory department is expanding its services, and we require a dedicated pulmonology expert to manage a complex caseload of acute and chronic respiratory diseases. This role offers the opportunity to lead specialist clinics—such as severe asthma, COPD, or lung cancer—and utilize advanced diagnostic procedural skills in a heavily supported, multidisciplinary clinical environment.

Core Clinical Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse cohort of inpatients and outpatients presenting with complex respiratory conditions, including pleural disease and sleep medicine disorders.
• Perform and supervise specialized diagnostic procedures, including bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), and thoracic ultrasound.
• Provide expert advice on non-invasive ventilation (NIV) and respiratory support for acutely ill patients.
• Actively participate in the lung cancer MDT and drive forward departmental clinical audits and research initiatives.

Essential Candidate Requirements:
