As the Senior Resourcing Manager for Emerging Talent, you will oversee the activities of the emerging talent team, managing the resourcing business partners who handle the recruitment and programme management for trainees and apprentices. You will be a key member of the resourcing leadership team, leading on significant strategic projects and represent the team at board level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Directly line manage the resourcing business partners in the emerging talent team, oversee their activities, and adopt a coaching style to encourage creativity and excellent client service.
  • Collaboration: Support the experienced hire team when required, collaborate with the Bflex team, and lead the resourcing management group in conjunction with the senior resourcing manager (experienced hire).
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop relationships with key stakeholders across the firm, act as an escalation point for complex issues, and represent the wider resourcing team.
  • Project Management: Lead significant projects for the emerging talent team, identify areas of improvement, and collaborate with the people team and broader business services departments on firm-wide projects.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Support the emerging talent team in data production and analysis, convert data into useful business insight, and present it to senior stakeholders, including the board.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the creation of the emerging talent budget, monitor expenditure, and report significant over/underspends.

What We Need From You:

  • Experience in managing emerging talent, ideally within a law firm or broader professional services context.
  • Proven people management skills, including leading performance reviews and supporting team development.
  • Diplomatic and professional approach, with the ability to adapt style to different situations and audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and present at board level.
  • Data literacy, with experience converting financial information into resourcing and people-related metrics.
  • Experience running large projects involving a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset, with an eye on future trends and opportunities for innovation.
  • Effective delivery and reporting on project progress, aligned with the firm's vision and strategy.
