Your Role
In this role you will contribute directly to helping make travel safer for customers, by ensuring TfGM is resilient during disruption, delivers mandatory security requirements and supports the Greater Manchester family response to Major Emergencies.
As the Senior Resilience Manager you’ll lead and manage day-to-day delivery of TfGM’s Resilience work programme ensuring effective response and preparedness whilst managing a small team of Resilience Managers. Contribute to initiatives to support safer and secure travel for passengers, all whilst working cross-functionally across the organisation.

Who are we?
It’s a critical and exciting time for public transport in Greater Manchester, and we’re seeking a Senior Resilience Manager to join our TravelSafe & Resilience team and help shape and develop the organisation's Resilience and Security preparedness.
What you’ll bring
You will be keen to work in partnership with a wide range of agencies, able to develop effective relationships, influence stakeholders and be able to articulate complex transport issues.
You’ll have excellent report-writing skills, knowledge of Resilience (or a related discipline) alongside relevant statutory frameworks.
You’ll play a visible role in supporting the organisation’s Incident Response and TravelSafe activities therefore an ability to remain focused delivering pragmatic solutions is essential.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work with partners from the blue-light emergency services and local authorities through the Greater Manchester Resilience Forum (GMRF) ensuring TfGM delivers its responsibilities under the Civil Contingencies Act and contributes as part of the Greater Manchester family.
For this role you are required to undertake security vetting, work flexibly, participate in on-call rotas and operational activities as required.
