About the role:

We are recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker in Manchester. You will work in a two-bed home for young people aged 12-17 with backgrounds of EBD and CSE. The provider is Ofsted-rated 'Good'.

The main purpose is to work with young people to achieve positive outcomes using a restorative approach, showing empathy, conflict resolution, collaboration, empowerment, and positive role modeling.

Your key responsibilities:

• Operate as a shift leader as part of a rota.
• Collaborate with social workers, residential staff, and practitioners to provide practical and emotional support.
• Meet the needs of children and young people, developing strong relationships and supporting their decision-making and engagement.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with services, the community, and agencies to support children with complex needs.
• Deliver specialist interventions and programs.
• Assist in managing the team and service, including rota management and supporting the home’s management.
• Contribute to assessments, care plans, and pathway plans as part of a multi-agency team.
• Act as a key worker and positive role model.
• Organize and participate in leisure activities and holiday breaks.
• Hold a Level 3 or 4 qualification in Residential Childcare.
• Have good knowledge of Children’s Homes regulations (2015).
• Possess at least 2 years’ experience in children’s residential homes.
• Hold a Full UK driving license.
