Job summary

Oxbridge Summer Scholars (OSS) is seeking Senior Summer School Student Supervisors to oversee wellbeing and delivery of four summer programmes at Oxford and Cambridge. The role includes living in college, guarding student safety, and supporting arrivals, departures, and activities.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in-person experience with 14–18-year-olds, excellent interpersonal skills, and DBS clearance (or willingness to apply). Weekend/evening work is required for the busy programme schedule.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to apply.
• 5+ years' in-person experience with students aged 14–18.

Responsibilities

• Safeguarding students and managing wellbeing.
• Residing in college for duration plus prep day.
• Dining in college with students and staff.
• Assisting arrivals/departures and settling in.
• Reporting student attendance from sessions.
• On-call to assist Programme Manager/Academic Director.
• Planning and running timetabled evening activities.
• Monitoring student whereabouts and curfew at 10pm.
• Staffing weekend excursions under guidance.
• Handling illnesses, travel issues, and other matters.
• Accompanying students to medical facilities when needed.
• Reporting concerns to Programme Manager/Director.
• Capturing daily photo/video content for social media.
• Contributing to 24-hour emergency contact rota.
