Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor or Fee Earner to manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion.

You will handle sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity, progress matters efficiently, advise clients, and work with estate agents, lenders and other solicitors. A professional, client-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload.
• Knowledge of the residential conveyancing process from instruction to completion.
• Experience dealing with sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage your own caseload and prioritise deadlines.
• A professional, proactive and client-focused approach.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion.
• Handle all aspects of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.
• Progress matters efficiently and accurately, meeting deadlines and keeping clients informed.
• Provide clear and practical advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process.
• Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, lenders, other solicitors and third parties.
• Prepare and review legal documentation and ensure searches, enquiries and checks are completed.
• Manage exchange and completion processes and post-completion requirements.
• Maintain accurate client files and case records using the firm's case management system.
• Maintain high standards of client care, professionalism and confidentiality.
• Support credit control and billing targets with the Accounts team.
• Ensure compliance with professional regulations and CQS where applicable.
• Develop relationships with clients and professional contacts; contribute to business development.
• Keep up to date with conveyancing changes through training and development.
• Supervise a Conveyancing Assistant and provide guidance.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative environment.
