Job summary

Law Staff is seeking an Experienced Conveyancing Lawyer in Chelmsford to manage a varied residential property caseload, guided by a supportive team and advanced legal technology. The role offers genuine career progression, continuous professional development and strong client exposure.

You will work closely with local agents and professionals, with in-office and remote support, and contribute to the growth of the Chelmsford office as it expands.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' PQE in residential property.
• Experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently.
• Solid understanding of SRA and CQS compliance.
• Ability to mentor junior colleagues within the team.
• Experience coordinating with remote solicitors or teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage a residential property caseload to a high standard on a day-to-day basis.
• Advise clients on residential property matters and provide clear guidance.
• Develop workload at the Chelmsford office in collaboration with local agents.
• Maintain high standards in legal reporting and documentation.
• Support compliance with SRA and CQS regulatory requirements.
• Supervise or support junior colleagues within the team.
• Collaborate with remote solicitors as appropriate.
• Ensure confidentiality and data security across client interactions.
