Job summary

ExamWorks Investigation Services Limited in Widnes is seeking a Senior Residential Childcare Worker for a permanent, full-time role. 37 hours per week with a 2 on / 4 off rota and sleep-ins, salary £27,088 plus enhancements. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is required; Enhanced DBS.

You will lead the home, support staff, and ensure high-quality care while advocating for young people. You’ll guide practice, attend reviews, and manage records.

• Attend reviews and multi-agency meetings as a key professional.
• Ensure every child’s voice is central to their care and planning.
• Oversee daily admin and support colleagues in their responsibilities.
• Promote consistency, positive culture, and high practice standards.
• Encourage continuous improvement through effective communication.
• Transport young people to school, activities and appointments.
• Complete sleep-ins in line with the rota.
