Barnsley Council is seeking a dedicated Residential Support professional to provide care and stability for children and young people in a residential home in Barnsley. The role emphasizes safeguarding, building trusting relationships, and promoting emotional regulation and safety within a trauma-informed setting.

The successful candidate will work 37 hours per week, on-site, with a permanent contract and a salary of £40,444–£43,149.

Qualificações

• Experience of working in a residential setting with children and young people who have experienced trauma or challenging behaviours.
• Ability to build positive relationships and promote emotional regulation and safety.
• Safeguarding experience and knowledge of risk management and care planning.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct care and support to children and young people in a residential home.
• Engage with families, social workers and professionals to support positive outcomes.
• Work a shift pattern including weekends, bank holidays and night working.
