Job summary

The Actuary in London is offering a role focused on autonomous reserving analysis across a diverse London Market portfolio. You will work with underwriting, finance and senior actuarial stakeholders to shape reserving strategy, regulatory reporting and business decision-making.

You will gain exposure to various specialty lines, with strong visibility to leadership. The role emphasizes collaboration, data-driven insights and ongoing actuarial development in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or nearly qualified actuary.
• Previous reserving experience within Lloyd's and/or the London Market.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience of the quarterly reserving cycle and stakeholder engagement.
• Comfortable working with large datasets and actuarial tools.
• A proactive individual who enjoys collaborating across the business.

Responsibilities

• Support the quarterly reserving process across multiple lines of business.
• Perform reserve analyses and make recommendations for booked reserves.
• Present findings and insights to senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to regulatory and audit deliverables.

• Assist with reserving methodology development and process improvement initiatives.

• Mentor and support more junior members of the actuarial team where appropriate.
