Job summary

Orion Group seeks a Senior Reservoir Engineer to provide technical leadership across a North Sea asset, driving optimisation, reserves management and integrated asset modelling. You will influence decisions across operations, wells and development while ensuring safe and compliant performance.

You will mentor colleagues, collaborate with JV partners and regulators, and translate uncertainty into practical recommendations for business decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Significant experience within upstream oil and gas asset management or production operations.
• Proven expertise in reservoir simulation, forecasting and reservoir performance analysis.
• Practical experience using industry-standard reservoir engineering and modelling software.
• Strong understanding of reservoir management, field optimisation and development planning.
• Excellent communication, presentation and technical reporting skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide reservoir engineering leadership across a portfolio of producing gas and condensate assets.
• Drive production optimisation, forecasting and reserves/resource management activities.
• Lead or coordinate technical studies that deliver measurable value to the business.
• Influence multidisciplinary teams and support high-quality, data-driven decisions.
• Build strong relationships with Joint Venture partners, regulators and key stakeholders.
• Mentor and support the development of less experienced colleagues while promoting best practice.
