Cammach is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer for a leading independent oil and gas operator, based in Aberdeen with hybrid working. You will provide technical leadership across the asset portfolio, helping to optimise field performance, mature development opportunities and support informed business decisions.

The role requires extensive experience in reservoir simulation, forecasting and performance analysis, plus practical use of industry-standard software.

Cammach is currently recruiting a Senior Reservoir Engineer on behalf of our client, an independent oil and gas operator, working within their Subsurface team, based in their office in Aberdeen. The position is offered on a staff permanent basis, offering competitive salary and excellent benefits package. Hybrid working arrangement is offered.

ROLE

As a Senior Reservoir Engineer, you will provide you will provide technical leadership across the business's asset portfolio, helping to optimise field performance, mature development opportunities and support informed business decisions

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide reservoir engineering leadership across a portfolio of producing gas and condensate assets.
• Drive production optimisation, forecasting and reserves/resource management activities.
• Lead or coordinate technical studies that deliver measurable value to the business.
• Influence multidisciplinary teams and support high-quality, data-driven decisions.
• Build strong relationships with Joint Venture partners, regulators and key stakeholders.
• Mentor and support the development of less experienced colleagues while promoting best practice

REQUIREMENTS

• An experienced reservoir engineer who combines strong technical capability with a collaborative, pragmatic approach to leadership.
• Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Significant experience within upstream oil and gas asset management or production operations.
• Proven expertise in reservoir simulation, forecasting and reservoir performance analysis.
• Practical experience using industry-standard reservoir engineering and modelling software.
• Strong understanding of reservoir management, field optimisation and development planning.
• Excellent communication, presentation and technical reporting skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
