Job summary

PhysicsX is re-architecting engineering with AI-powered physics. You will drive research in 3D geometry representations and generative modelling, collaborating with ML engineers and customers to translate engineering challenges into mathematical formulations.

You will work with production numerical solvers to ensure physically validated models, publish results, and mentor junior colleagues in a flat, impact-focused environment. Hybrid London-based role with strong research and industry impact.

Qualifications

• PhD in CS/ML/physics/engineering with expertise in generative modelling or 3D geometry
• Experience building models/pipelines in PyTorch/CUDA with geometric/3D data
• Ability to scope and deliver projects with strong problem-solving skills
• Enthusiasm for deep learning and probabilistic methods applied to science and engineering
• Publications at premier conferences and journals

Responsibilities

• Own a research work-stream: set its direction and priorities with stakeholders
• Design and train generative models over 3D geometry (latent spaces, representations)
• Work with production solvers to ensure physics-based validation
• Collaborate with ML, simulation engineers and customers to formalize problems
• Publish and mentor colleagues; contribute to academic and non-academic audiences
