Job summary

University of Nottingham invites applications for a Senior Research Fellow to support a Nuffield Foundation-funded project on attitudes to climate migration. The role centers on the qualitative strand, designing and facilitating focus groups with ethnic minority and White British participants in Nottingham, Bristol, Manchester and London, and analysing data using NVivo and CDA.

You will hold a PhD with a strong publication record and experience in race, migration, public or environmental

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field with a strong publication record.
• Experience with qualitative methods and race, migration, public or environmental attitudes is desirable.
• Experience working with community organisations or partner organisations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead across the project's mixed-methods design, with responsibility for the qualitative strand.
• Design and facilitate focus groups with ethnic minority and White British participants in multiple UK cities.
• Analyse data using NVivo and Critical Discourse Analysis; contribute to historical discourse analysis and Delphi studies.
• Disseminate findings through peer‑reviewed publications and conferences; collaborate with policymakers and the Advisory Group.
