We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Research & Innovation Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to two Research Co-ordinators within the NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde Sponsor Team. The post holder will support Glasgow-led research studies and the approval of a diverse portfolio of research projects, acting as a key point of contact for researchers ranging from students to Consultant level staff. The role involves coordinating research administration processes, supporting governance requirements, managing document submissions, and assisting with the delivery of high-quality research across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) may be able to provide visa sponsorship for certain roles, subject to the post meeting the relevant eligibility criteria. The post holder will develop and maintain effective administrative systems to support NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde Sponsored and Co-Sponsored research activity, ensuring compliance with regulatory and governance requirements. They will coordinate document submissions, track research approvals and timelines, and guide researchers through the Sponsor and Research & Innovation review processes. The role includes liaising with internal support departments such as Pharmacy, Nursing, Finance, Imaging and Tissue Services to facilitate study delivery, managing communications with researchers, maintaining records and diaries, and building effective working relationships with partner organisations including universities, research teams and other NHS Research & Development offices. The post holder will also support the Sponsor Team in monitoring priorities, managing deadlines, and ensuring researchers remain informed throughout the approval process.
