Job summary

Vitality is seeking a remote, full-time Quality Audit Underwriter in the UK to lead and strengthen the post-issue underwriting QA programme. You will review automated underwriting decisions, monitor non-disclosure trends, and collaborate with underwriting and operations to improve processes and data collection.

You’ll also conduct new business audits and support retrospective claim assessments, providing broad exposure across underwriting.

Qualifications

• Senior underwriter with in-depth medical and financial knowledge in Life cover, Serious Illness and Income Protection.
• Familiar with post-issue underwriting QA processes.
• Good knowledge of regulatory procedures in the life insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead a robust post-issue underwriting QA programme with Operational colleagues.
• Review automated underwriting decisions and report findings monthly.
• Identify trends in non-disclosure and support improvements to data collection and underwriting philosophy.
• Provide new business underwriting audits and support retrospective underwriting of claims.
