Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician to lead a shift of engineers and supervise maintenance on high-availability equipment across EU sites.

You will ensure safe, compliant operation, monitor performance with SCADA, and drive improvements to uptime and efficiency. The role requires hands-on engineering leadership, experience with automation and CMMS, and the ability to coordinate maintenance across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics or a 4-year UK apprenticeship completed.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Experience in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in material handling equipment (MHE) or automation environments.
• Experience in English-language communication, written and verbal.
• Experience leading engineering teams as a mentor or tech lead.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate best practice on equipment safety and monitor teams to ensure processes are followed.
• Track equipment performance through checks and preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Supervise technicians on shift and mentor their development.
• Resolve equipment issues to reduce downtime and accelerate package processing.
• Help standardize processes across the EU network and drive continuous improvement.
