Job Title: Senior Reliability Engineer
Location: Ashford, TN24 0L
Salary: £55,000 - £57,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
A full-time, permanent opportunity has arisen at our Ashford site for a Senior Reliability Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible for determining and providing the correct maintenance strategy for the site equipment; this involves optimizing preventative and proactive maintenance against reliability and cost objectives.
The successful candidate will:
- Produce and optimize a timely and deliverable cost-effective maintenance programme for your manufacturing function to enhance the reliability of all electrical and mechanical assets.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability.
- Utilize Reliability Engineering tools such as CMMS, RCM, RBI, RCA, PM plan optimizations, equipment history analysis, failure predictions, predictive maintenance techniques, and others to maximize equipment reliability.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to maintain operational efficiency, identify faults, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Lead escalation of maintenance or breakdown support from OEMs.
- Support engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure maximum utilization of engineering equipment, achieving KPIs and optimal line efficiency within safety, quality, and environmental policies.
- Provide technical input into the design and installation of new equipment and develop effective maintenance plans, including technical documents and SOPs, for site capital projects.
- Assist in future CAPEX planning through analysis of machine obsolescence programs.
- Collaborate with the wider engineering team to ensure best practices are followed.
- Record and analyze data related to equipment performance and reliability.
- Train team members on reliability principles and practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Requirements:
- HNC / Degree in electrical, mechanical, or automation disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation maintenance, with experience in food manufacturing (mixing/packing) & process equipment.
- Understanding of OEM Asset Care guidance.
- Broad knowledge of asset care systems and strong organizational and planning skills for overhaul activities and machine upgrades.
- Ability to drive change and implement new working methods.
- Strong knowledge of reliability principles and maintenance strategies.
- Experience in analyzing complex operational issues.
