Senior Design Reliability Engineer
Job Description
In this role, you will manage large reliability programs across the entire product development lifecycle of medical products for our Image Guided Therapy Systems (IGTS) Business. We seek a confident leader in quality and reliability management to ensure timely releases of innovative products that deliver high quality and outstanding reliability, ultimately improving lives.
Your role:
- Lead and support the quality vision of Reliability Engineering to all Philips internal customers and team members.
- Contribute to the product development process to ensure the reliability of the product is statistically validated, supporting new product launches and existing product support.
- Provide reliability-engineering services including reliability analyses, predictions, testing, test planning, and problem solving.
- Develop detailed reliability test plans to ensure appropriate testing and sample sizes to meet reliability goals.
- Coordinate efforts to establish product reliability goals and monitor activities to achieve them.
- Translate test data into reliability predictions to support decision-making.
- Work with product engineering to develop reliability requirements, perform analyses, and ensure products meet all requirements.
- Develop reliability plans documenting tasks, methods, tools, tests, and analyses to ensure product safety and reliability.
- Participate in scheduling and estimating reliability activities.
- Perform Design FMEAs on new products and recommend design changes to improve reliability, including involvement in Process FMEAs.
- Participate in product design reviews to ensure robustness of design and manufacturing processes.
- Conduct statistical data analysis, regression modeling, Weibull analysis, hazard analysis, reliability growth assessment, and warranty trend analysis.
- Monitor field performance post-launch; investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, develop corrective actions, and verify resolutions.
- Conduct training on quality and reliability engineering concepts within the organization.
You're the right fit if:
- You hold a Master’s degree in Reliability Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering with 5+ years of experience in a regulated industry, preferably medical, with complex electrical/mechanical products.
- You demonstrate effective leadership, communication, interaction, and influence across functions.
- You have successfully led initiatives to improve product quality and reliability.
- You are proficient in reliability tools, statistical sampling, and methodologies.
- You possess a highly positive attitude and strive for high performance and product quality.
- You are motivated to work in an R&D laboratory environment, capable of managing time, organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking effectively.
- You have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
- You have experience with reliability modeling, statistical analysis, warranty analysis, HALT, ALT, transfer functions, dFMEA, fault tree analysis, and tools like Weibull++, Minitab, and SAP.
