Job summary

Raretec Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Capital Solutions Senior Analyst to join a leading reinsurance group in London. The role focuses on reinsurance strategy, portfolio management and collaboration with underwriting, actuarial and finance teams.

You will analyse market conditions, support design and placement of programmes, and prepare reporting for senior stakeholders. The position offers high visibility and close interaction with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into commercial recommendations.
• Experience with portfolio or exposure data to support strategic decision-making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of outward reinsurance strategy in line with business objectives and risk appetite.
• Evaluate reinsurance structures (proportional, non-proportional, structured) and provide design recommendations.
• Assist design, optimisation and placement of reinsurance programmes including renewals and market outreach.
• Collaborate with actuarial, analytics and capital modelling to improve portfolio outcomes and risk transfer efficiency.
• Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, capacity developments and emerging solutions for strategic decisions.
• Maintain relationships with brokers, reinsurers and market participants; coordinate meetings and renewals.
• Contribute to Portfolio Management Framework development, including scenario analysis and stress testing.
• Develop analytical tools, models and reporting to support decision-making.
• Produce high-quality reports and presentations for senior management and committees.
