Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Lead Rehabilitation Engineer to head the Regional Posture and Mobility Service, with clinical duties including assessment and bespoke seating casting. The post also acts as quality lead for MHRA compliance and equipment management, with additional clinical and managerial responsibilities.

Qualifications

Extensive experience working with wheelchairs and specialised supportive seating.
UK registration with HCPC or equivalent required.
Degree in Mechanical/Rehabilitation Engineering or related field (or equivalent via HNC).

Responsibilities

Assess and prescribe seating solutions and accessories within the regional service.
Lead special seating assessments and provide clinical input to regional postural care.
Ensure MHRA medical devices guidelines are implemented in seating service delivery.
Produce detailed clinical reports and specifications for bespoke seating.
