An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone motivated and compassionate to join our dedicated inpatient Renal and Cancer Physiotherapy team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, based on the main Royal Devon & Exeter hospital site (Wonford). We have a permanent, full-time hours) Senior Allied Health Professional Support Worker position available.

This role involves providing therapeutic interventions, treatments, and exercise programs to patients, liaising with patients and family/carers in discharge planning and fall prevention.
The post-holder will identify and support patients' physical limitations and functional problems to assist the therapy team in early assessments and rehabilitation. Strong links with multidisciplinary teams in both acute and community settings are essential. The caseload will include patients with long-term health conditions recovering post-acute admission and being assessed for discharge. The role has a focus on Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, supporting both professions daily.
All team members are expected to work across all areas and be available for shifts across 7 days, including weekends and bank holidays. Flexibility to work in other areas is required.
The role offers the benefit of working in a modern city with diverse leisure and entertainment facilities, located within beautiful Devon, close to the coast and moors.
This position offers potential development opportunities, with educational support for candidates progressing from Band 2 Rehab Support Worker to Band 3 Senior Support Worker.
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, with weekends and bank holidays on a rota (approximately one weekend day per month)
