An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone motivated and compassionate to join our dedicated inpatient Renal and Cancer Physiotherapy team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, based on the main Royal Devon & Exeter hospital site (Wonford). We have a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours) Senior Allied Health Professional Support Worker position available.

This role involves providing therapeutic interventions, treatments, and exercise programmes to patients, liaising with patients and family/carers in discharge planning and fall prevention.
The post-holder will support patients with physical limitations and functional problems, assist in early assessments and rehabilitation, and develop strong links with multidisciplinary teams in both acute and community settings. The caseload includes patients with long-term conditions recovering post-acute admission, assessed for discharge to home or their usual residence. The role has a strong focus on Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, supporting both professions daily.
All team members are expected to work across all areas, including shifts across 7 days, weekends, and bank holidays, with flexibility to work in other areas as needed.
The role offers the benefit of being in a modern city with a wide range of leisure activities and entertainment, located within beautiful Devon, near the coast and moors.
This position offers developmental opportunities, including educational support for progression from Band 2 Rehab Support Worker to Band 3 Senior Support Worker.
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:15-16:30 (weekends and bank holidays on a rota, approximately once a month)
