Title: Reinsurance Finance Specialist (Solvency II Focus)

Location: Remote (UK or EU-based preferred)

Type: Temp-to-perm or Permanent

Client: Tech-driven insurance platform empowering MGUs

Overview

A unique opportunity to help a leading insurance group bring Solvency II reinsurance reporting in-house for the first time. After previously relying on consultants, they’re now building their internal capability, and this role is key to that transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Own delivery of reinsurance-specific Solvency II QRTs, including:
• S.30.01 – Reinsurance Recoverables
• S.19.01 – Claims Information
• S.08.01/02 – Reinsurance Counterparty Risk
• Work with raw reinsurance data and shape best practice in reporting
• Collaborate with external advisors (e.g. Grant Thornton) to transition knowledge
• Build SOX-level controls and support audit documentation
• Contribute to wider finance transformation and systems improvement

Ideal Profile

• Strong Solvency II reporting experience, especially with reinsurance forms
• Background in the London Market, Lloyd’s syndicates, or consultancy
• Able to interpret raw technical data from reinsurance operations
• Proactive, detail-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-scaling business
• Open to temp-to-perm or permanent work
