Job summary

Sulis Hospital Bath is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse to join our Enhanced Perioperative Operational Recovery (EPOC) team, supporting post-operative patients in a small, supportive environment.

You will be an ITU/HDU skilled nurse, delivering high-level care within the Recovery Unit and EPOC area, with a focus on the complete peri-operative journey for high-acuity patients. The role covers night and day shifts, with DBS clearance and ongoing NMC registration essential for practice.

Qualifications

• Registered ITU/HDU skilled nurse within recovery team.
• NMC registration with CPD in critical care or peri-operative nursing.
• DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-level nursing care within the Recovery Unit and EPOC area.
• Plan, assess, implement and evaluate patient condition using agreed care pathways.
• Respond to changes in condition and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Cover night and day shifts with support from senior medical staff.

Job description

Sulis Hospital Bath has an opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse to join our small and supportive Enhanced Perioperative Operational Recovery department to support our post-operative patients.

As a Registered ITU/HDU skilled Nurse within our recovery team, you’ll be an integral part of our healthcare team and work as an expert member of the nursing team to assist in high level of care for patients.

The successful candidate will deliver exceptional nursing care within the Recovery Unit and in our EPOC area, with a specific focus on supporting the complete peri-operative journey of high-acuity patients.

Due to the clinical complexity of these individuals, recent experience within an HDU or ICU environment is essential.

This requires planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of patient’s condition and care following agreed care pathways. You will be confident in responding to changes in condition, proposing/making changes to care plan as required to assist with the provision of an environment conductive to clinical excellence. This role will cover night and day shifts and is supported by a Resident Medical Officer and a Senior Resident Medical Officer.

Full Time- 37.5 hours or Part Time minimum 22.5 hours.
