Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered general nurse level 1/ Diploma / BSc in Nursing studies.
- Evidence of relevant clinical professional development, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration.
- Mentorship Qualification (ENB 998 or equivalent).
- Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability.
- Excellent clinical knowledge based on evidence and aligned with national best practice standards.
- Basic workload and shift management skills.
- Understanding of workload and shift management.
- Maths and English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
- Proficiency in PC use, including software and systems.
Duties include:
- Maintaining standards of patient care according to operational policies and procedures.
- Enhancing customer service and satisfaction.
- Safeguarding the well-being of patients, staff, and consultants, and acting as an advocate.
- Deputising for the Sister/Charge Nurse when appropriate.
- Providing individualised patient care of high standards.
- Advocating for patient safety and speaking up about concerns.
- Adhering to NMC and HCPC professional conduct standards.
