Job description

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Registered general nurse level 1/ Diploma / BSc in Nursing studies.
• Evidence of relevant clinical professional development, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration.
• Mentorship Qualification (ENB 998 or equivalent).
• Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability.
• Excellent clinical knowledge based on evidence and aligned with national best practice standards.
• Basic workload and shift management skills.
• Understanding of workload and shift management.
• Maths and English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
• Proficiency in PC use, including software and systems.

Duties include:

• Maintaining standards of patient care according to operational policies and procedures.
• Enhancing customer service and satisfaction.
• Safeguarding the well-being of patients, staff, and consultants, and acting as an advocate.
• Deputising for the Sister/Charge Nurse when appropriate.
• Providing individualised patient care of high standards.
• Advocating for patient safety and speaking up about concerns.
• Adhering to NMC and HCPC professional conduct standards.
