Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a passionate Registered Manager to lead the Family Assessment Centre in Aylesbury. You will oversee daily operations, safeguard children, and drive continuous improvement while supporting families to build parenting skills.

The role requires Level 5 management qualifications and strong leadership, with the ability to travel across the county and manage budgets. A competitive package includes relocation assistance and a Golden Hello on completion of service.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Children's Residential Management qualification and at least two years of residential management experience.
• Strong knowledge of current legislation, regulations and best practice in children's residential care.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work unsocial hours and travel across the county.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Residential Family Centre.
• Ensure compliance with Residential Family Centre Regulations, Ofsted requirements and SOPs.
• Develop and support a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality assessments and interventions.
• Oversee safeguarding practices and promote welfare and protection of children.
• Monitor assessment quality, outcomes, and reporting standards.
• Manage budgets, resources, and occupancy levels; match referrals safely.
• Build relationships with local authorities, commissioners and partner agencies.
