Job summary

LET Recruitment is representing a specialist provider of therapeutic residential care across Dorset and Somerset seeking a Senior Registered Manager to lead and shape the next stage of growth. You will oversee regulatory compliance, safeguard standards and care planning while building capable staff teams.

The role also involves preparing for Ofsted inspections, building relationships with authorities and families, and guiding future home openings in a growing organisation.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or recognised equivalent.
• Significant management experience within Ofsted-regulated children's residential care.
• At least three years’ experience in a senior residential childcare position.
• Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Experience of Ofsted inspection and regulatory processes.
• Strong safeguarding, care planning and risk-management knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager with Good or Outstanding outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the regulatory and operational management of the home.
• Build, coach and develop high-performing staff teams.
• Maintain excellent safeguarding, care planning, risk management and recording standards.
• Ensure compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and statutory guidance.
• Prepare the home consistently for Ofsted inspection.
• Build effective relationships with local authorities, families and external professionals.
• Manage staffing, resources and operational performance effectively.
• Contribute to the opening and development of future homes and services.
