We're looking for an enthusiastic and professional Senior Receptionist, who will act as Team Leader, to join our Business Operations team in our London office.
We need a positive, polite and smart individual with a 'can-do' attitude and organised approach. Previous receptionist experience within a professional services environment will be highly beneficial to this role, however any receptionist with exceptional client service skills will be considered.

Our Team
You will assist the Facilities Manager in managing a team of receptionists, while dealing with people of all levels from support staff to Partners and both internal and external clients. The team work on a rota basis to maintain cover between 7.30am and 7.00pm, therefore flexibility and proven experience of working effectively in a team is essential. There will be an occasional requirement to support evening events that would require working beyond 7pm.
Our Opportunity
In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the reception service based in London. This will include producing rotas, prioritising workload, arranging absence cover, holding team meetings, regular liaison with the Facilities Manager, and taking a pro-active approach to working with other teams. You'll be focusing on individual and team development to achieve objectives and improve performance, as well as giving constructive feedback.
The role will also require you to work alongside the Events Manager and wider Business Development and Marketing team, and be involved in pre-event planning and logistics, liaising with relevant contacts on site including maintenance, housekeeping, IT and external catering providers to ensure rooms and spaces are set up efficiently and correctly.
You'll also be responsible for carrying out on-job training for all new and existing team members. While the focus of this position will be management of the service and team members, there is a requirement to undertake operational work such as booking meeting rooms, placing and manging food orders from external suppliers, maintaining the reception area, issuing passes to all visitors and ensuring all services are provided in accordance with the agreed service levels.
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a shift rota between 7.30am and 7.00pm
You
You will be a dynamic, creative individual who understands the importance and intricacies of client relationships, and this will be reflected in your professional and confidential approach to your work. You will have excellent communication and English language skills and be able to liaise with stakeholders of all levels clearly and confidently. Attention to detail is critical as well as excellent telephone and PC skills, as you will need occupational competence in all of the tasks carried out by the team.
You will have proven experience being a team leader or supervisor, and be able to prioritise and delegate effectively, while also motivating, recognising and rewarding others fairly and consistently. On busier occasions you will need to have the ability to work under pressure and remain calm at all times.
In order to be successful, you will have previous experience in a client-facing role, ideally within professional services. You will also have experience of planning and management of both events and teams.
