Job summary

UCB is seeking a Senior Real World Evidence Expert based in Slough, UK or Brussels, Belgium. You will autonomously design, lead, and deliver global RWE studies that inform regulatory and payer decisions and advance asset‑level strategies.

You will collaborate with epidemiologists, statisticians, clinicians, and external partners to shape evidence generation, ensure governance, and communicate robust findings to senior stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree, PhD, or MD in life science, epidemiology, HEOR, or statistics.
• Experience designing and delivering RWE studies in pharma, academia, or consultancies.
• Strong quantitative and methodological expertise across epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, and outcomes research.
• Ability to develop high‑quality scientific communications (abstracts, manuscripts, posters, presentations).
• Excellent communication skills to influence senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead projects independently and think strategically.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of complex global RWE studies end‑to‑end.
• Develop study concepts, write protocols, shape analysis plans.
• Deliver epidemiology, burden‑of‑disease, safety‑outcome studies.
• Represent RWE on primary data‑collection teams; lead secondary data‑use initiatives.
• Collaborate with vendors, clinicians, statisticians, analytics teams.
• Interpret results and communicate findings across forums.
• Co‑define evidence needs with HE/HTA and Safety teams for regulatory interactions.
• Contribute to asset‑level RWE strategy and innovative study designs.
