Job summary

Hopper is seeking a senior full stack engineer to anchor HTS Assist, owning the realtime voice layer end to end while building React/TypeScript front ends and Scala/Python services. You will work across cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS) and partner integrations, with a focus on low-latency, scalable architecture for global travel clients.

The role demands hands-on experience with voice technologies, streaming, and RESTful APIs, plus strong collaboration with product, design, and operations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience owning production systems with full-stack ownership.
• Hands-on with realtime voice apps, streaming media, and low-latency design.
• Strong background building RESTful APIs and microservices at scale.
• Experience with CPaaS platforms and cloud infrastructure is a plus.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams across product and design.

Responsibilities

• Own the voice channel end to end, including telephony integrations and streaming pipelines
• Build features across React/TypeScript front ends and Scala/Python services
• Design for multi-tenant scale with configurable partner integrations
• Implement safety, compliance, and PII redaction integration points
• Maintain observability, incident response, and SLA performance
• Support forward-deployed engineers configuring telephony integrations
• Mentor teammates through code reviews and architecture discussions
