Job summary

GlobalLogic is building a high-performance engineering initiative to create a brand-new, real-time banking platform focused on scalability, availability, and zero-downtime reliability. The platform uses microservices with Java/Spring Boot, Kafka for real-time streaming, RESTful APIs, and automated CD pipelines.

The team operates with strong autonomy, mentoring engineers and driving architectural excellence across business, application, data, and infrastructure layers to deliver end-to-end

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in enterprise software engineering focused on high-throughput, real-time banking/financial systems.
• Strong proficiency in core Java development, Spring Boot microservices, and modern resilient service design patterns.
• Hands-on expertise with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures (orchestrated and choreographed).
• Proven track record with Continuous Deployment (CD), cloud-native operations, and automation.
• Experience designing and operating scalable RESTful APIs with versioning, monitoring, and observability.
• Background in banking or regulated environments is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, produce, test, and implement robust, scalable, and resilient distributed software across the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to building and maintaining a modern real-time banking platform delivering business value.
• Apply Agile methods to manage and develop software backlog items with long-lived, flexible design.
• Build event-driven microservices using Spring Boot and Kafka with high availability and low latency.
• Implement continuous build, test, and deployment automation to streamline delivery.
• Collaborate with Principal Engineers, Domain Architects, and stakeholders to align architecture with business goals.
• Coach and mentor engineers to foster technical growth across the team.
