Flutter Entertainment seeks a Principal Data Solution Architect to design and deliver distributed data platforms powering Flutter's Gaming and Sportsbook applications. The role focuses on real-time and batch processing, scalable data stores, and cloud-native architectures on AWS.

You will partner with Product, Engineering and business stakeholders to translate data needs into executable solutions. You will mentor engineers, shape data strategy and contribute to architecture governance while

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing distributed data platforms at scale.

Responsibilities

• Drive platform capability improvements using Spark, Databricks, Kafka and Cassandra.
• Enable application data consumption by designing real-time streaming and batch access patterns.
• Architect real-time data streaming solutions with Kafka and Pulsar for low-latency delivery.
• Design distributed data structures for Cassandra and related stores to optimize read/write patterns.
• Deliver cloud-native data solutions on AWS with Databricks and S3 in distributed compute environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring on data platform patterns.
• Develop executable roadmaps delivering near-term value and target architectures.
• Partner with engineering teams to translate data needs into scalable platform solutions.
• Create ADRs, data models and technical designs to support delivery goals.
• Influence technical strategy for distributed systems and data streaming futures.
• Manage technology risk and ensure regulatory, security and cost considerations.
• Contribute to architecture governance and governance forums.
