Job summary

Wise is looking for a Senior Data Engineer II to join our Treasury Global Liquidity team. You will design and build the foundations of our real-time liquidity observability stack and core streaming data pipelines that power Wise's global financial operations.

You will deliver key infrastructure initiatives, set the technical streaming strategy, and build robust, scalable systems to handle high-velocity financial movement with zero room for error, enabling dynamic intraday capital positioning

Qualifications

• Proven track record building low-latency streaming pipelines using Kafka, Flink, or Spark Streaming.
• Experience with exactly-once processing semantics in financial or mission-critical domains.
• Strong real-time data aggregation and windowing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Architect high-throughput Kafka and Flink pipelines for real-time liquidity observability.
• Build robust, scalable streaming systems with sub-second latency.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science and Treasury Ops to align architecture with business needs.
